Foster Care is a ministry designed to come alongside foster families with prayer and service.

The Mission
Foster family advocacy is more than preparing weekly or monthly meals. It is more than the occasional babysitting gig. It's more than volunteering to do laundry or clean the house. It's all of that and more! Advocates come alongside foster parents recognizing the gravity of their ministry to children in need and standing in the gap for the entire family the best way possible... by being there!
There are levels of service and teams of four families minimum are needed to serve each foster family. We do have foster families at Genesis and there are sure to be more to come, but there are also hundreds in our city and we want to be a ministry that is willing to serve whomever where ever is needed.
Care Portal
CarePortal is an online platform that connects us to State agency workers who go into homes and see what items are needed and are able to enter them into a database. Our team will receive the database and will use donations from our church to meet those needs. These items are for families in crisis and could prevent children from entering the foster care system. What a great way to be the hands and feet of Jesus!
