It doesn’t matter if it’s on Sunday, during the week, at city wide events, or across the globe, Genesis exists for the benefit of others. Because of that we highly value participation, creating a place where people actively put their faith in action to help serve and reach others. We also equally believe that the best way to get connected, make long lasting friendships and root yourself into the local church is to serve along side of others!
At Genesis we offer multiple opportunities to serve:
GenesisJUNIOR (birth – preschool)
KIDGenesis (k5 – 5th grade)
ECHO Students (6th-12th grade)
Hospitality (welcome team & parking team)
Ministry Meals (helping church members who might need a meal)
Community Events (events like Chick-fil-a family night, Compassion Walk)
Straight Street Orlando (feeding & resourcing the homeless in our city)
IGNITE Sports & Arts Camp (annual event for hundreds of children)
Brazil (annual trips involving camps, construction and more)

To become a volunteer, simply:

2. Choose an area or team of interest
3. Complete a Team Introduction according to area of interest.
Once you’ve chosen an area or specific team of interest, you will be scheduled for your introduction meeting for Volunteering. It includes a brief orientation to Genesis Church and the opportunity to shadow your area or team of interest. The introduction is designed to assist you in finding the team that you connect best with and enhance the most.
4. Complete Membership Class
Membership Classes are once a quarter and is a time dedicated to walking through the history, culture, and vision of Genesis Church. You will walk away from our Membership Class knowing the values of Genesis Church, and understanding how you will be a part of the future culture here.
5. Commit to Volunteering
At Genesis it’s vital that you understand how to play a part, why to play a part and the dedication it takes to make a lasting impact in the lives of other people. We all commit our time to something, and we believe the best time we can commit is toward something that can change a life as well as your.
